Implementing the MICEX Group’s regional development strategy, the MICEX has acquired 100% stake in the Urals Regional Currency Exchange (URCEX), thus becoming the only shareholder in this regional exchange. On 5 December it was decided to amend the charter of the URCEX and turn it into the Regional Exchange Center "MICEX - Urals.”

The Tokyo Stock Exchange ("TSE") announced today the calculation method for TOPIX and its sub-indices in relation to shares of Nikko Cordial Corporation (First Section, Code 8603, "NCC"), provided that a share exchange transaction is approved at the extraordinary share holders' meeting scheduled for December 19th, 2007, and that this transaction takes place.

The Brazilian Mercantile & Futures – BM&F S.A. ended its Initial Public Offering (IPO) process with the participation of 260,946 investors. All of the 299,184,846 common shares offered to the market were sold. This figure includes 39.024 million common shares to cover over-allotments. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) Economic Advisory Roundtable today unveiled its predictions for 2008, forecasting that the pace of U.S. economic growth would slow in the first half of the year, but accelerate in the second half. In the year-end survey, the median forecast anticipates GDP to grow but at a below-trend pace of 2.1 percent in 2008 as the economy works through the housing sector contraction and the effect of credit market turbulence.
