Shanghai Stock Exchange To Reinforce Index Management

To reinforce its indices' operation and management, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), upon modification of the former "SSE Measures on Index Administration", has worked out the "SSE Detailed Rules on Securities Index Administration", which will be issued and implemented today in due form.

As of July 2, 2007, the market cap segments will be updated according to the average price in May 2007. 36 companies move to a higher segment as their market capitalisation has grown.
