    IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and over-the-counter markets, announced that ICE Futures U.S.(TM) yesterday set new daily electronic and exchange-wide trading volume records. Electronic futures volume on Wednesday, January 16, totaled 273,620 contracts, surpassing by 11% the previous record of 247,040 contracts set on January 9, 2007. ICE Sugar No. 11 futures established a new daily electronic volume record of 199,469 contracts.
