Thai And Taiwan Securities Depositories Sign MOU

Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD) and Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation (TDCC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on April 13, 2007, in South Korea during the 9th Conference of CSDs. The MOU provides for information-sharing, cooperative research, depository and clearing operational development and staff exchange, TSD Chief Executive Officer Ms. Sopawadee Lertmanaschai said.

NYBOT Soft Commodity Futures Set New Daily Electronic Volume Record - New Electronic Record In Coffee Futures

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace and soft commodity exchange, announced a new daily electronic trading volume record on Monday, April 16, at its U.S.-regulated futures subsidiary, the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT). On Friday, April 13, 156,600 soft commodity futures contracts were traded electronically at NYBOT, surpassing the previous record established on Friday, April 13, of 155,781 contracts. LME Confirms Select Access For Australia

The London Metal Exchange (LME) yesterday confirmed that it has been granted an Australian Market Licence by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission. As a result, LME members will be able to access the LME Select GUI from Australia with effect from 1 May 2007.

Following the promulgation of the REIT legislation in Germany, Deutsche Börse has unveiled its offering for real estate companies and investors. The stock exchange operator is to launch a separate segment for the asset class as soon as the first REIT is introduced. Deutsche Börse will also be calculating specific REIT indices. Gallaher Group To Leave FTSE 100, Punch Taverns To Enter

Gallaher Group, the tobacco manufacturing and wholesale company, is to leave the FTSE 100 from the close of trading today, after its takeover by Japan Tobacco Inc. It will be replaced in the index by the pub company Punch Taverns, which will move up from the FTSE 250.

Patsystems plc, the trading solutions provider to the derivatives industry, is pleased to announce that it has passed conformance testing for connectivity to Dubai Mercantile Exchange Limited (DME).
