    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The relative weight of Rio Tinto PLC ADS (NYSE:RTP) will decrease in the S&P/TSX Global Mining index after the close of trading on Friday, February 8, 2008. This change is the result of the acquisition of shares of Rio Tinto by Shining Prospect Pte Ltd., a Singapore-based entity wholly owned by Alcoa Inc. (NYSE:AA) and Chinalco.
