  • London Stock Exchange Monthly Market Report March 2007 - SETS Trading Hits New Records With 55 Per Cent Growth

    Trading on SETS, the London Stock Exchange’s order book, reached record levels during February 2007. The average daily number of trades on SETS increased 55 per cent on February 2006 to a record 413,506, while the average daily value traded was up 28 per cent to £7.46 billion. The total number of SETS trades during the month was 8.3 million and the total value traded was £149.1 billion.

    The SWX Swiss Exchange has imposed a fine on PAX-Anlage AG, Basel, for violation of provisions of the Swiss GAAP FER financial reporting standards and the Additional Rules for the Listing of Real Estate Companies in its semi-annual report 2006. The deficiencies ascertained by the SWX pertain to the illicit offsetting of positive and negative valuation differences on investment properties and the incomplete publication of information pursuant to the Additional Rules.
