The Philadelphia Stock Exchange To Begin Trading Ten New Options On Wednesday, June 25

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that it will begin to trade ten new options on June 25, 2008. The first six options were allocated to LaBranche Structured Products LLC: Castle A M & Co. (option/stock symbol: CAS) will trade on the March expiration cycle with initial expiration months of July, September, August and December. Position and exercise limits have been set at 5,000,000 shares. CVR

SEC Charges Scottrade For Misrepresentations To Customers

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged St. Louis-based broker-dealer Scottrade, Inc., for fraudulent misrepresentations it made to customers relating to the firm's execution of their Nasdaq pre-open orders, which are placed after the day's market close to be executed at the next market opening. Without admitting or denying the Commission's findings, Scottrade agreed to pay a $950,000 penalty to settle the SEC's charges.
