ISE Statement Regarding Insider Trading Allegations

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) announced that it has accepted the resignation of John Marshall, who formerly served as Vice Chairman of ISE's board. Marshall was charged today by the SEC and the U.S. Attorney's office with violations of the securities laws relating to insider trading in advance of ISE's merger with Eurex Frankfurt, AG, which was announced in April 2007. ISE has not been named a party in either case.

Better Regulation Approach: Autorité Des Marchés Financiers Publishes Simplified Procedure For Examining And Authorising Issue Prospectuses For Listed Companies

Further to the public consultation on the simplified examination and authorisation procedure for public offerings by listed companies, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has published the new procedure approved by its Board. The procedure has been written into Article 5 of Instruction 2005-11 of 13 December 2005 on disclosure requirements for public offerings, pursuant to Title I of Book II of the AMF General Regulation.

BNP Paribas Commodity Futures, Ltd. Of London To Pay A $25,000 Civil Monetary Penalty To Settle CFTC Charges Of Large Trader Reporting Violations

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that BNP Paribas Commodity Futures, Ltd. (CFL) will pay a $25,000 civil monetary penalty to settle charges that it failed to provide to the CFTC timely and accurate account information for a reportable large trader account, as required by CFTC regulations.

TSX Group's Interim Co-CEO Calls For National Carbon Market With Full Engagement Of Emitters

TSX Group Inc. Interim Co-CEO Rik Parkhill says TSX Group believes that a national emissions market that allows the price of carbon to vary with market conditions is the best solution for Canada. In a speech to the Calgary Chamber of Commerce today, Mr. Parkhill said, “At TSX Group we have, for a considerable time, looked at carbon trading as a market mechanism which holds great promise in supporting the reduction of carbon emissions.”
