  • SEC Charges Willbros Group And Former Employees With Foreign Bribery

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed a settled enforcement action charging Willbros Group, Inc. and four former employees with violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), alleging that they paid more than $6 million in undisclosed bribes to Nigerian government officials and others to obtain significant contracts for the Houston-based company.

    There was a net inflow of foreign investment to the Brazilian stock market of BRL 8,961,674,978.30 through May 9. This figure includes purchases of international investors in the public offerings, which amounted to BRL 5,019,927,049.30, and the net trading value at BOVESPA, which has also registered an inflow of BRL 2,373,104,131.00.
