NASDAQ Lowers Top Tier Pricing For Routing And For Removing Liquidity
The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today lowered transaction pricing for the top tiers for removing liquidity in all securities and for routing all securities, excluding non-ETFs routed to the NYSE. These pricing changes have been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on an immediately effective basis.

SEC: Fee Rate Advisory #8 For Fiscal Year 2007
Pursuant to Section 31(j)(2) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Commission determined that a mid-year adjustment to the Section 31 fee rate for FY 2007 is not required. As a result, the Section 31 fee rate of $15.30 per million dollars that will take effect on March 17 will remain at that level through the end of the fiscal year. The Section 31 assessment on round turn transactions in security futures also will remain at $0.0042 per transaction after March 17.

ISE Reports Monthly Volume For February 2007 - Average Daily Volume Of 2.7 Million Contracts
The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) today reported that average daily trading volume for equity and index options contracts for February 2007 increased 14.2% to 2.7 million contracts as compared to 2.4 million contracts during the same period in 2006. Total equity and index options volume for the month increased 14.2% to 51.1 million contracts from 44.8 million contracts in the same year-ago period.

On February 28, the share trading value was DKK 64.3 billion (previous record: DKK 62.6 billion on January 25, 2007). As a result of trading on the MICEX Stock Exchange held 28 February 2007, the volume of transactions in securities amounted to 218.8 billion rubles (8.36 billion dollars). Trading Volumes On The Spanish Exchange Reached € 118.96 Bn In February, 42.7% Up On The Year
The number of trades in equities was 2.86 million, 41.5% up on February 2006. The number of trades on the ETF segment increased 3.2% on the previous month. The European Commission has published its regular Progress Report on the Single Market in Financial Services, highlighting achievements made in the course of 2006. This year the promises set out in the White Paper on Financial Services (2005-2010) were delivered.
