In its last meeting of the year in Vienna on December 5, 2008 the exchange council of the European Energy Exchange (EEX) chaired by Dr. Günther Rabensteiner adopted a resolution regarding the reappointment of the managing directors of the exchange of EEX and, hence, expressed its confidence in their continued successful work. PLUS Market Report For November 2008 - PLUS Strengthens Its Retail Market Lead - Major Inroads Made Into UK Markets Post-MiFID

One year into MiFID, PLUS - the new stock exchange for London, continues to enjoy soaring trading activity. In November 2008, PLUS posted 524,919 bargains of 2.745 billion shares, valued at £ 3.035 billion. This represents an increase of 154% in trades, 88% in trade value and 189% in number of shares against November last year, when the new PLUS trading platform was launched.

London Stock Exchange Welcomes Resolution Ltd To The Main Market - £600m Raised In One Of Ten Biggest International IPOs Of Last Five Years

The London Stock Exchange today welcomed Resolution Limited to its Main Market. The company has raised £600 million, making it one of the year’s biggest IPOs in terms of money raised, and one of the ten biggest international IPOs to be conducted in the UK in the last five years. To mark the occasion, Clive Cowdery and John Tiner, the founder and Chief Executive of Resolution, joined the Chairman of the London Stock Exchange, Chris Gibson-Smith, to officially open the markets.
