Program Trading Averaged 33.0 Percent Of NYSE Volume During Mar. 2-6

The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext (NYX), today released its weekly program-trading data submitted by its member firms. The report includes trading in all markets as reported to the NYSE for Mar. 2-6. The data indicated that during Mar. 2-6, program trading amounted to 33.0 percent of NYSE average daily volume of 3,852.5 million shares1, or 1,269.9 million program shares traded per day.
Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes - Index Review Results: 1st Quarter 2009

Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced the results of the regular quarterly review of the Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes. As part of this review, the index universe of the Dow Jones Islamic Market World Index will be expanded to include Russia. All changes will be effective after the close of trading on Friday, March 20, 2009.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that on March 4, 2009, the federal district court in Knoxville, Tennessee, issued a court order freezing the assets of Dennis R. Bolze of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and his Las Vegas-based company, Centurion Asset Management, Inc. (CAM). The asset freeze order was entered a day after the CFTC filed a complaint charging them with fraudulently soliciting commodity pool participants, misappropriating participant
CME Group Announces The Launch Of New Petroleum Swap Futures Contracts

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, today announced 14 new petroleum swap futures contracts, scheduled to begin trading on March 22 for trade date March 23. These contracts are listed with, and subject to, the rules and regulations of NYMEX. The products will be available through CME ClearPort(R), an open clearing service for more than 600 OTC products.

Standard & Poor’s as part of the quarterly rebalancing, will change the shares outstanding for the S&P Japan 500 and its sub-indices effective after the close of trading Thursday, March 19, 2009. New shares outstanding can be downloaded in Excel format using the link below. Companies that are constituents of the S&P Global 100 are denoted by an asterisk. Direct Edge Exceeds 10% Matched Market Share - Record Day With Even Greater Share In Active Stocks

Direct Edge achieved matched market share of 10.10% yesterday, surpassing the 10% threshold for the first time. Direct Edge also set a new all-time single-day record for handled market share, with 17.23% of all U.S. equity trading volume. Direct Edge handled 2.117 billion shares and matched 1.241 billion shares on its trading platforms yesterday.
