    Share Trading in July The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 1.7 billion, as compared to EUR 2.5 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 159,805, as compared to 219,895 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 542 billion, compared to EUR 693 billion in July 2008.

    The number of shares traded increased by 10% from July 2008 to 11.7 billion and is the highest monthly figure in 2009. The Derivatives Market traded 10.4 million contracts in July, up 28% from the same month last year. Highlights include Options on Stocks, with 2.1 million contracts traded, up 65% from the same period a year earlier. Trading volume on the Corporate Debt market to the end of July exceeded that for the entire year 2008.
