Thai Bourse Launches “Jump For Futures” To Attract New Investors

The Thailand Futures Exchange Plc (TFEX), part of The Stock Exchange of Thailand, is introducing the “Jump for Futures” campaign to attract new investors through promoting TFEX’s longer trading hours. The campaign will start now and run until end-November 2011, providing training and other educational programs, valuable prizes, and giveaways.

Dubai Financial Market “PJSC” shareholders approved Balance Sheet and Income Statement for the fiscal year ending December 31st 2010. During the ordinary Annual General Meeting held today, April 24th 2011, and headed by Abdul Jalil Yousef Darwish, Chairman of the company, the shareholders endorsed Board of Directors’ recommendation to withhold cash dividend for the year ending December 31st 2010. At Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc., April 2011 gold futures contract and silver futures contract recorded the highest delivery prices since listing on their last day of trading, April 25, 2011. The delivery price for the April 2011 gold futures contract is 4,002 yen/gram and that for the April 2011 silver futures contract is 120.5 yen/gram.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has issued Law No (7) of 2011 which includes amendments to a number of articles in Law No (9) of 2004 ('Original Law') that established the Dubai International Financial Centre ‘DIFC’ as the first Financial Free Zone in the United Arab Emirates. Over the past seven years, DIFC has become the financial and business gateway between regional emerging markets and the international markets. The amendments to the law provide greater legal clarity and transparency, and provide stronger support to DIFC’s drive to become a global financial centre, complying with the highest levels of good governance and best practices.
