MGEX Breaks September Electronic Trading Record - Tops 2009 Total Volume

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), today announced it opened the new fiscal year by setting a September electronic trading record with 122,800 futures and options contracts trading electronically. September 2010 was also the fifth highest electronic month in the history of the Exchange.

The Options Industry Council Announces September Options Trading Volume Decreased 4%

The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today that 302,075,193 total options contracts changed hands in September, a 4.05 percent decline from the 314,809,865 contracts traded in September 2009. Year-to-date volume remains 5.20 percent higher than the same point last year.

Options Clearing Corporation Announces Total Contract Volume Down 4% In September - Year-To-Date Average Daily Volume Up 6%

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) announced today that total OCC cleared volume in September reached 303,851,940 contracts, representing a 4% decrease over the September 2009 volume of 316,624,143 contracts. OCC’s year-to-date average daily volume is up 6% compared to 2009 with 15,332,099 contracts and year-to-date total volume is up 6% with 2,882,434,696 contracts.
