  • CFTC Releases Rule Enforcement Review Of Coffee, Sugar & Cocoa Exchange, Inc.

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) has notified the Coffee, Sugar & Cocoa Exchange, Inc. (CSCE) of the results of a rule enforcement review completed by the Commission’s Division of Market Oversight (DMO).     The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract for May 2004 was cash settled this morning at a final settlement price of 98.995 , for an average daily effective federal funds rate of 1.005 percent during the delivery month. Please refer to the attached spreadsheet for more information regarding the calculation of this settlement.

  • CBOE Volume Gains For The Ninth Consecutive Month - Rises 22% In May

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, announced today that May volume totaled 27,906,821 contracts traded, an increase of 22% over the May 2003 volume of 22,928,895 contracts. This was the ninth consecutive month that CBOE registered volume gains over year-ago levels. Through the end of May, CBOE's year-to-date volume of 154,176,810 contracts traded is 41% ahead of 2003's pace.

  • 2-year US Treasury News June 1, 2004 - CBOT® 2-Year US Treasury Futures Traded More Than 490,000 Contracts Last Week

    During the holiday shortened week of May 24th, the CBOT 2-year traded more than 490,000 contracts. In addition, it had three of its busiest trading sessions in its history. On Wednesday, May 26th CBOT 2-years traded a record 155,153 contracts followed by 140,105 contracts on Thursday, May 27th and its fifth highest volume of 101,997 contracts on Tuesday, May 25th.

  • Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

    Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Monday, May 31, 2004: Aquest Energy Ltd. (TSXVN:AEX) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the ticker symbol “AEX” at the open on Wednesday, June 2, 2004. WPN Resources Ltd.. (TSXVN:WPR) will change its name to Grove Energy Limited. The new ticker symbol will be “GRV.” There is no consolidation of capital.
