SIX Swiss Exchange: Index Adjustments On The Occasion Of The Ordinary Index Review

The Management Committee of SIX Swiss Exchange has decided to make changes to SIX Swiss Exchange index baskets on the basis of a recommendation from the Index Commission and in compliance with the SMI®, SLI®, SPI® and SXI® index rules. The indices will be adjusted on 20. September 2013 after closing. The adjustment takes effect on 23. September 2013.

Thomson Reuters/National Venture Capital Association: Venture Capital Funds Raised $2.9 Billion During Second Quarter 2013 - Lower Levels Reflect Consolidating Industry And Contracting Fund Sizes

U.S. venture capital firms raised $2.9 billion from 44 funds during the second quarter of 2013, a decrease of 33 percent compared to the level of dollar commitments raised during the first quarter of 2013, but equal to the number of funds, according to Thomson Reuters and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). The dollar commitments raised during the second quarter of 2013 is a 54 percent decline from the levels raised during the comparable period in 2012 and marks the lowest quarter for venture capital fundraising, by dollars, since the third quarter of 2011. The top five venture capital funds accounted for 55 percent of total fundraising during the second quarter of 2013.

NASDAQ OMX And NGX Announce US Physical Energy Alliance

NASDAQ OMX Commodities and Natural Gas Exchange Inc. (NGX), a wholly-owned subsidiary of TMX Group, today announced that they have entered into a strategic alliance (the Alliance). The Alliance involves the NASDAQ OMX US physical energy entity, NASDAQ OMX Commodities Clearing Company (NOCC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc., and the physical energy exchange and clearinghouse of NGX, which serves more than 250 contracting parties in the US and Canada.

NYSE Euronext Subsidiary To Become New Administrator Of Libor

NYSE Euronext Rate Administration Limited, a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext (NYX), today announced that following a rigorous selection process conducted by the independent Hogg Tendering Advisory Committee, NYSE Euronext Rate Administration Limited has been appointed as the new administrator for LIBOR. The transfer of the administration from BBA LIBOR Ltd, the subsidiary of the British Bankers’ Association (BBA) is expected to be completed in early 2014, once the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) authorisation of  NYSE Euronext Rate Administration Limited is complete.

The total index (TEDPIX) of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) closed at 51,321.3 point at the end of June 2013, with 28.3 percent growth during the quarter. TSE’s blue-chip index (TEDFIX 30) also gained more than 22 percent in the 2Q13, and closed at 2,572.4.

New Record Of The Moscow Exchange's FX Market

In June 2013 the average daily value traded on the FX market of the Moscow Exchange reached USD22.629 billion, the record high value since the launch of trading on the market. The previous record was fixed in January 2009 (USD22.064 billion).
