  • Emissions Trading: European Commission Approves Italian Allocation Plan

    The European Commission today accepted Italy’s plan for allocating CO2 emission allowances to Italian companies for the 2005-2007 trading period, after the Italian authorities agreed to lower significantly the total number of allocation by 23 million tonnes of CO2 annually or 9%.     The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Deutsche Börse AG approved on Wednesday the distribution of a dividend of €0.70 per share for fiscal year 2004 - this represents a 27 percent increase to last years dividend payment.     Non-profit partnership "RTS Stock Exchange" has announced the purchase of the controlling interest (52.18%) in the closed joint-stock company "Depositary and Clearing Company" from the non-profit partnership "DCC". Cash assets equal to 3 million US dollars were transferred to the appropriate account of "DCC" on May 16 th , 2005. The record confirming the transfer of rights was obtained from the Central Moscow Depositary on May 23 rd , 2005.
