Thomson Reuters Global Equities Monthly Market Share Data Updated To Reflect September 2013 Activity

One thing to note was the growth in dark pool trading in September, particularly in the form of the reported anonymised Broker Crossing Systems activity which represented 13.5% of all order book activity in comparison with 9.8% in August and 8.1% in September 2012. The activity was most prominent during the Index rebalancing between the 24th & 26th September. This continued growth of BCS data is ironic in the context that this type of trading would not be permitted under the current MiFID II proposals being finalised between the European Council, MEPs and European Commission.

Moscow Exchange To Hold New York Forum On 23 October

Moscow Exchange is organizing a half-day forum in New York on October 23 for its clients and investors. The Moscow edition of the Exchange forum in April was a huge success with over 800 people in attendance; the London session in July was also well-attended with over 200 delegates representing leading international market participants and investors attended the event.

Yves Baguet To Leave Clearstream - Richard Green To Succeed As CIO Of Clearstream And CTO Of Deutsche Börse Group

Yves Baguet, Member of the Executive Board of Clearstream International S.A., Clearstream’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and, since February 2013, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Deutsche Börse Group, has decided to leave the company on amicable terms effective 15 October 2013 in order to pursue new challenges. Richard Green, currently running one of the application development departments for Clearstream’s core business, will succeed Yves Baguet as CIO of Clearstream, and, ad interim, as CTO of Deutsche Börse Group.
