HKEx Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 9 November 2012 (Friday), 22 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 13 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 576 after the revision.
Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Appointment To Investor Education Advisory Committee

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announces the appointment of Mr Lee Kam Wing, Bruno and Mr Pan San Kong, Terry as a member and an alternate member respectively of the Investor Education Advisory Committee (IEAC) with effect from 1 November 2012. Mr Pan replaces Ms Lam Po Yee who stepped down from the committee on 16 October 2012. Mr Lee and Mr Pan represent the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association.

CBOE Holdings Reports October 2012 Consolidated Trading Volume - VIX Futures Volume Totaled Busiest Month Ever

CBOE Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBOE) reported today that October 2012 consolidated trading volume for options contracts on the Chicago Board Options Exchange® (CBOE®) and C2 Options Exchange^SM(C2^SM) and futures contracts on CBOE Futures Exchange^SM(CFE®) totaled 85.8 million contracts. The exchanges were closed for two days -- October 29 and 30 -- due to equity exchange closures caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Total VIX Futures Volume Reaches New All-Time High In October - Second Consecutive Record Month Of Total Volume For VIX Futures And Exchange-Wide Trading

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE^®) announced today that total monthly volume in futures on the CBOE Volatility Index^®(VIX^®) reached an all-time high for a second consecutive month in October 2012. The record trading activity in VIX futures also drove total volume at CFE to a new all-time high.
