Comment By MAS Spokesperson On The Theft Of Bank Statements Belonging To Some Private Banking Clients Of Standard Chartered Bank

In response to media queries on the theft of bank statements belonging to some private banking clients of Standard Chartered Bank which occurred at its third party service provider, the MAS spokesperson said that MAS has taken appropriate supervisory actions against the bank. MAS generally does not disclose details of its supervisory actions.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Court Remands Market Manipulator In Custody

The Eastern Magistrates’ court today convicted Mr Chan Wing Fai on seven counts of false trading after the case was remitted back to the magistrate for reconsideration following an appeal by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

CPSS-IOSCO Post Responses To Consultation On The Assessment Methodology For The Oversight Expectations Applicable To Critical Service Providers

The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published today the comment letters to the CPSS- IOSCO consultative document on the Assessment methodology for the oversight expectations applicable to critical service providers, which was published on 18 December 2013. Twelve comment letters were posted.

MGEX Breaks Open Interest Record Again

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), re-broke the all time Exchange open interest record after Thursday’s trade date, just previously set after Wednesday’s trade date.

FSB Chair's Letter To G20 Ministers And Governors On Financial Reforms - Update On Progress

Eurex: Dividend Derivatives Segment – New Products, Continued Growth - New Monthly All-Time Volume Record In March 2014 - Launch Of Further Futures Based On Dividends Of 21 U.S. Equities On 10 April

The international derivatives market Eurex Exchange announced today that it achieved a new milestone in its dividend derivatives segment in March 2014. For the first time, the overall monthly volume exceeded one million contracts since launch of the segment in June 2008. The total number of traded contracts was 1,086,054, bringing the open interest to 3.2 million contracts (as of 1 April).

BSE Upgrades Its Trading Platform To Bolt Plus - More Than 900 Members Participated In The First 3 Days Of Trading Session

BSE has changed its trading system to the new trading system acquired from Deutsche Boerse from April 7, 2014 for its Equity segment. Earlier, BSE had already implemented this system for Currency Derivatives on November 28, 2013, Interest Rate Futures on January 28, 2014, and Equity Derivatives on February 10, 2014. The platform is based on T7, the global trading architecture of Deutsche Boerse AG.
