UK's Financial Conduct Authority: Operation Of The MoU With The Bank Of England For Market Infrastructure - 2015 Performance Statement

In line with the Financial Services Act 2012, the FCA and the Bank of England reviewed the operation in 2015 of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that sets out how they should co-operate with one another in relation to the supervision of markets and market infrastructure.  As part of this review, a survey of industry respondents identified no material instances of duplication and respondents acknowledged the efforts made by both authorities on co-operation.

A turnover of 1.476 billion shares worth N7.992 billion in 15,743 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 4.476 billion shares valued at N11.742 billion that exchanged hands last week in 14,124 deals.

EBA Seeks Comments On Reporting Of Prudent Valuation Information

The European Banking Authority (EBA) launched today a public consultation on the inclusion of prudent valuation into COREP, the reporting framework through which EU banking institutions report supervisory information. The amendments proposed by the EBA reflect the prudent valuation requirements in Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 2016/101. This public consultation will run until 30 March 2016.
