NextStage AM Launches The NextStage Investment Company - An Innovative Platform For Long-Term Investments In European 21st-Century Mid-Cap Companies

NextStage AM is launching NextStage, an investment company whose goal is to provide an innovative approach to long-term equity investment in European mid-cap companies, which make up almost 40% of the economy. NextStage is targeting, as a first step, a capital of €250m and intends to rapidly be listed on the Euronext stock market. This vehicle is currently open to major private and institutional investors and will be accessible to individual investors after its introduction on the Euronext stock exchange. NextStage's first capital increase of €100m will be used to make its initial investments which have already been identified. The company will further increase its capital by €150m by the end of this year.

The outlook for new steel orders in China over June deteriorated from May, while expectations for flat steel prices over the coming month was also depressed, according to the latest Platts China Steel Sentiment Index (Platts CSSI), which showed a headline reading of 42.2 out of a possible 100 points.

Following yesterday’s cloture vote on the CISA Bill, The Financial Services Roundtable (FSR), American Bankers Association (ABA) and Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) strongly urge Senate lawmakers to immediately proceed to consideration of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act (CISA) so that financial firms and other sectors can better protect American consumers and businesses by sharing critical information about cyber attacks with each other, the government, law enforcement and other institutions.

UK Financial Conduct Authority: Statement On Achilles Macris

On 19 May 2015 the Court of Appeal ruled that the FCA should have given Mr Macris the right to make representations on certain matters set out in the final notice issued to JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A (JP Morgan) on 19 September 2013 which related to the ‘London Whale’ trades. Such rights are known as ‘third party rights’. The FCA did not give Mr Macris third party rights because we did not consider that he was identified in the notice. The Court of Appeal decided that Mr Macris was identified.
