  • The Role Of ACER Will Be A Key Element For The Achievement Of The Energy Union

    “The ultimate objective of the Energy Union is to bring affordable, secure, competitive and sustainable energy to all Europeans”, said EU Commission Vice-President for the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, at the IV ACER Annual Conference, ‘An Energy Union for Consumers’, today at the Brdo Congress Centre near Kranj, Slovenia. In order to achieve that, Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Angel Arias Cañete, stressed three main elements: a new, modern market design; a new deal for consumers and the reinforcement of the role of ACER for further cooperation among National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and transmission system operators (TSOs).

    The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) is pleased to announce the creation of NSE Pension 40 Index as part of key initiatives to drive market optimisation. The NSE Pension Index conforms with the requirements of the Pension industry as specified in the Pension Reform Act 2014 (as amended) and Regulation on Investment of Pension Fund Assets as prepared and amended by the National Pension Commission.

  • EBA Streamlines Intra-Group Financial Support For Banking Institutions

    The EBA published today final draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) and Guidelines on the provision of group financial support, as well as final draft Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) detailing the disclosure requirements of these activities. These Technical Standards and Guidelines specify the conditions under which one entity of a banking group can provide support to another entity of the same group in financial difficulties. These have been developed within the framework established by the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD) and aim at strengthening integrated risk management in EU banking groups by removing possible uncertainties around supporting entities in distress within the same group.

    Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and Depozitarul Central increase flexibility of the regulated market for equities, as of July 10, offering investors the possibility to settle deal trades also on gross basis, with a T+0, T+1 or T+2 settlement cycles. It complements the net settlement mechanism with the T+2 cycle.
