The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) will hold the "Invest Tokyo Seminar 2015 in London" on July 14 at Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel, London, for foreign companies interested in advancing into Japan. This seminar will provide the UK companies with an opportunity to learn about the allure of Tokyo as an investment destination, as well as various incentives and support for foreign companies provided by the TMG and the national government. There will be special sessions on the FinTech and healthcare industries.

ASIC Releases Hedge Funds Report

The 2014 hedge funds survey was representative of the state of the larger hedge funds, with the assets of the 27 surveyed qualifying funds representing approximately 44% of the assets held by single-manager funds in Australia.

While not all the data from the latest survey was unanimously positive, and car buyers remain cautious, a significant rise in car purchase expectations suggests car sales will find some support over the coming months. That increase in optimism pushed the Car Purchase Indicator back near the level recorded at the end of the first quarter, with sentiment now sitting just below its long term average.

Statement By The IMF On Greece

Mr. Gerry Rice, Director of Communications at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement today regarding Greece’s financial obligations to the IMF due today:
“I confirm that the SDR 1.2 billion repayment (about EUR 1.5 billion) due by Greece to the IMF today has not been received. We have informed our Executive Board that Greece is now in arrears and can only receive IMF financing once the arrears are cleared."
