  • CalPERS Reports Preliminary 2015-16 Fiscal Year Investment Returns

    The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) today reported a preliminary 0.61 percent net return on investments for the 12-month period that ended June 30, 2016. CalPERS assets at the end of the fiscal year stood at more than $295 billion and today stands at $302 billion.

    Good afternoon. I’m Ken Bentsen, president and CEO of SIFMA. Thank you all for being here at today’s event and thank you to the Atlantic Council for hosting this important event. It is truly a privilege to host our distinguished guest, the Vice President, European Commission, Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis, who as of today has taken responsibility for the Commission’s Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union portfolio from Lord Hill. In fact, I was in Brussels the Tuesday prior to the UK vote and had the opportunity to meet with Lord Hill and members of his cabinet. With so much on the EU’s agenda it is more than encouraging that Vice President Dombrovskis so quickly has taken the time to visit the US.

  • Saudi Arabia's Capital Market Authority: Announcement In Relation To The Amendment Of The Resolution Of Securities Disputes Proceedings Regulations

    As part of the Capital Market Authority efforts to develop the legislative environment of the Capital Market in the Kingdom, and to promote the fairness and transparency principles in securities transactions, in addition to its efforts to expedite the proceedings and the decision making in the disputes before the Committee of the Resolution of Securities Disputes and based on the Capital Market Law issued by the Royal Decree Number (M/30) Dated 2/6/1424 H, The Board of the CMA has issued its resolution to amend article (10), article (32), article (34) and article (35) of the Resolution of Securities Disputes Proceedings Regulations. The amendment shall become effective upon its publication.
