  • ACER Finds Still Contractual Congestion In European Gas Networks

    Contractual congestion, a situation where firm capacity demand exceeds the technical capacity, has been detected at 17% of the entry and exit sides at interconnection points across the EU. The Agency’s Annual Congestion Report published today, includes a list specifying at which sides of interconnection points a certain congestion management procedure (the so-called Firm Day-Ahead Use-It-Or-Lose-It mechanism) will have to be applied from 1 July 2016. Access to the report and find out more here.

    • Most indices across all categories gained during the one month period ending May 31, 2016. Nifty Financial Services index gainedthe most (6.97%) amongst all the indices during the month whereas the Nifty Pharma index (-2.64%) was the biggest loser duringthe month.
    • During the 3 month period ending May 31, 2016, the biggest gainers in their respective index categories are Nifty Smallcap 50(24.11%) in broad market index category, Nifty Tata Group 25% Cap (31.59%) in thematic index category, Nifty High Beta(22.57%) in strategy index category and Nifty Realty (40.56%) in sectoral index category.
    • The biggest gainers during the 1 year period ending May 31, 2016 in their respective index categories are Nifty Midcap 150(1.87%) in broad market index category, Nifty Mahindra Group (4.45%) in thematic index category, Nifty Low Volatility 50(4.28%) in strategy index category and Nifty Media (20.19%) in sectoral index category.
    • Mirae Asset Global Investments launched NIFTY 50 based Leveraged ETF in Korea and it is listed and traded on Korea Exchange(KRX) from May 13, 2016. In India, Edelweiss Mutual Fund launched Nifty Quality 30 index linked ETF which is listed andtraded on NSE from May 30, 2016.
