    The Chamber of Digital Commerce published “Smart Contracts: 12 Use Cases for Business & Beyond” at its Smart Contracts Symposium. The inaugural event took place yesterday at the Microsoft Technology Center in Times Square, New York. The white paper was developed by the Smart Contracts Alliance, a working group of the Chamber of Digital Commerce, in collaboration with Deloitte, which is leading blockchain innovation as the world's largest professional services firm. Smart contracts are a digital, self- executing means of transferring assets or conducting actions based on rules developed utilizing blockchain  technology.

    Further to the announcements by ICAP on 11 November 2015 and subsequently relating to ICAP's disposal of its global hybrid voice broking and information business to Tullett Prebon plc, including ICAP's associated technology and broking platforms and certain of ICAP's joint ventures and associates (the "Transaction"), the boards of ICAP and NEX are pleased to announce that the FCA has today approved a prospectus (the "Prospectus") in relation to the admission of the ordinary shares in the capital of NEX to listing on the Official List of the FCA and to trading on the main market  of the London Stock Exchange and that the Prospectus has been published on ICAP's website at www.icap.com.

    Thank you so much. It is a great honor to be here today.

    My focus today is the derivatives markets. Over the last six years, we have made a number of reforms to increase the openness, transparency and competitiveness of these markets—not just here in the U.S. but around the world. And those reforms are working. But with the impending change in our government, there is talk of repealing the Dodd-Frank Act. So I believe we face a choice: we can choose to refight the last war—that is, debate, and perhaps repeal everything we have put in place. Or we can recognize that while we should continue to fine-tune and improve these measures, we also need to focus on the challenges ahead.
