    Good morning!

    It’s a great pleasure to attend the sixth Members Assembly of SHFE. This Members Assembly, a big event in the futures industry, is of significance in improving the governance of SHFE and promoting the sound development of the futures market. First of all, I would like to extend, on behalf of CSRC, my warm congratulations on the holding of this Assembly and my sincere gratitude to futures market professionals as well as those who, over time, have been interested in and given support for the development of China’s futures and derivatives markets.     The High Court yesterday declared that Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) had successfully proven an insider trading case against Lim Chiew, a former independent director of Magnum Corporation Bhd.

  • SEC Provides Regulatory Relief And Assistance For Hurricane Victims

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it is providing regulatory relief to publicly traded companies, investment companies, accountants, transfer agents, municipal advisors and others affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Maria.  The loss of property, power, transportation, and mail delivery due to the hurricanes poses challenges for some individuals and entities that are required to provide information to the SEC and shareholders. 


  • Canadian Scurities Regulators Announce Ban On Binary Options

    The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today announce the implementation of Multilateral Instrument 91-102 Prohibition of Binary Options, which makes it illegal to advertise, offer, sell or otherwise trade binary options shorter than 30 days with any individual.

  • US Agencies Extend Next Resolution Plan Filing Deadline For Certain Domestic And Foreign Banks - Board Of Governors Of The Federal Reserve System, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

    The Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation today extended the next resolution plan filing deadline for eight large domestic banks by one year to July 1, 2019. The extension will provide the time needed for firms to remediate any weaknesses identified in their July 2017 submissions and to prepare and improve their next resolution plan submissions.
