  • Seismic Foundry Portfolio Firms Join SEI Incubator Codify

    Three of the portfolio firms that were invested in by the Seismic Foundry Capital Markets FinTech fund have joined the SEI supported incubator, Codify, based in their Alphabeta building in Finsbury Square, London. Kite Edge, Lodestar-Ecosystems and Waymark Tech joined the incubator this week for a 16-week period, while Enforcd have already benefitted from the programme last year.

    The 8th General Assembly of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) is held by way of regional explanation sessions and communication voting today. Members of the SSE leadership team will go to Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chongqing and Beijing to have face-to-face talks with 116 members from today. The General Assembly will make illustration on the working report of the SSE Board of Governors, the working report made by SSE President, the working report of the SSE Board of Supervisors, the financial budget and final settlement reports, and the revision to the SSE Constitution to the members. And it will have face-to-face talks with attending members, solicit their opinions and suggestions, and jointly promote the reform, development and construction of the SSE.

  • Daily Quotas Of Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect Increase Fourfold

    The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CRSC) and the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) release a joint announcement today to increase the daily quota of Shanghai Stock Connect to RMB52 billion, and that of Hong Kong Stock Connect under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect to RMB42 billion, which shall come into effect from May 1, 2018. To implement the arrangement in the joint announcement, the SSE releases the "Notice on Adjusting the Daily Quota of Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect" and the "Notice of Adjusting the Daily Quota of Hong Kong Stock Connect under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect" to market participants on the same day, and requires all the market participants to well arrange relevant adjustment work about the increase of daily quotas.

    The Annual Conference 2018 for the Bo'ao Forum for Asia announces the goal of launching the stock connect between the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) (the Shanghai-London Stock Connect for short) in 2018. As a key measure of promoting the opening-up of China's capital market, Shanghai-London Stock Connect has achieved staged results by the end of last year, and the Chinese Government and the British Government have agreed to make further research on the listing of local qualified listed companies in the counterpart market, thus realizing the connect of the two markets. To implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's achievements during his visit in Britain, the SSE has closely cooperated with the LSE in researching relevant business and technical issues since 2015 under the guiding by the relevant department. Currently, all the preparations have been underway, and the two exchanges have been promoting the settlement of relevant rules and operational arrangements. Next, they will arrange the communication with market institutions at proper time.
