As part of its initiative to enhance investor awareness, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) held a seminar titled “Identifying Successful Fiscal Strategies of UAE-Based Public Companies". The seminar was delivered by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Awadi, who obtained his PhD in Business Administration from the College of Business and Economics of the United Arab Emirates University.

Ingenious Ene-Carbon New Materials Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as “*ST Ene-Carbon” or “the Company”) reported negative audited net profit for three consecutive fiscal years of 2014, 2015, and 2016, therefore listing of the Company’s stocks has been suspended by SZSE since July 6, 2017. On April 28, 2018, the 2017 annual report of *ST Ene-Carbon revealed that, Zhongxinghua Certified Public Accountants LLP issued a disclaimer of opinion in the audit report on the company’s financial accounting report. According to Article 14.4.1 of SZSE’s Rules Governing Share Listing, *ST Ene-Carbon shall be delisted.

SEC Obtains Emergency Order Halting Fraudulent Coin Offering Scheme - Charges “Blockchain Evangelist” Behind Alleged Scam

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced it has obtained a court order halting an ongoing fraud involving an initial coin offering (ICO) that raised as much as $21 million from investors in and outside the U.S. The court also approved an emergency asset freeze and the appointment of a receiver for Titanium Blockchain Infrastructure Services Inc., the firm behind the alleged scheme.
CFTC Orders X-Change Financial Access LLC To Pay A $150,000 Civil Monetary Penalty For Supervisory And Recordkeeping Failures

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued an Order filing and simultaneously settling charges against X-Change Financial Access LLC (XFA) of Chicago, Illinois, for failure to diligently supervise its employees’ handling of its customer accounts and failure to preserve complete records. At the time of the conduct charged, XFA was registered with the CFTC as a Futures Commission Merchant and is now registered as an Introducing Broker.

Harris, the Chief Economist and Director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis (DERA) and a Professor of Finance at American University’s Kogod School of Business, will leave the agency at the end of May to return to academia full time.
