  • Canadian Securities Regulators Provide Additional Guidance On Securities Law Implications For Offerings Of Tokens

    The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) today published CSA Staff Notice 46-308 Securities Law Implications for Offerings of Tokens, which provides additional guidance on the applicability of securities laws to offerings of coins or tokens, including ones that are commonly referred to as “utility tokens.”.

  • TASE Launches New Index – The Tel Bond-Dollar Index - The Index Will Be Comprised Of Dollar-Linked Corporate Bonds Listed On TASE

    ​The board of directors of the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) approved (June 7th, 2018) the launch of a new corporate bonds index – the “Tel Bond-Dollar Index”. The index will consist of dollar-linked corporate bonds listed on TASE. Following the launch of the new index, TASE will be calculating 29 Tel Bond indices, 10 of which were launched in 2017 and 6 additional indices were launched since the beginning of 2018.

  • EGX Eid El Fitr Al Mubarak Holiday

    EGX decided that Eid El Fitr holiday will start from Sunday 17 June 2018 till Monday 18 June 2018. Trading will be resumed effective Tuesday 19 June 2018.

  • EBA Issues Revised List Of ITS Validation Rules

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) issued today a revised list of validation rules in its Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) on supervisory reporting, highlighting those which have been deactivated either for incorrectness or for triggering IT problems. Competent Authorities throughout the EU are informed that data submitted in accordance with these ITS should not be formally validated against the set of deactivated rules.

  • Municipal CUSIP Request Volume Climbs To Pre-Tax Cuts & Jobs Act Levels - Municipal Issuers Log Third Straight Month Of Increased Pre-Trade Activity

    CUSIP Global Services (CGS) today announced the release of its CUSIP Issuance Trends Report for May 2018. The report, which tracks the issuance of new security identifiers as an early indicator of debt and capital markets activity, found a third straight monthly increase in requests for new municipal bond identifiers. CUSIP request volume for U.S. and international corporate securities also surged in May. This is suggestive of an increased pace of new securities issuance in the second and third quarter of 2018.

  • Monitoring Group Publishes Summary Of Feedback

    The Monitoring Group has today published its Summary of Feedback of responses received to its earlierconsultation Strengthening the Governance and Oversight of the International Audit-Related Standard-Setting Boards in the Public Interest. Responses to the Monitoring Group’s consultation on options for reform of audit-related standard setting, show widespread support among stakeholders for reform in order to increase accountability and transparency in standard setting; to move to a multi stakeholder representation in the standard setting boards; and to a sustainable, more independent funding model. Responses contained more diverse views on the optimum number of standard setting boards, their composition, and whether reform of the Public Interest Oversight Board should be carried out at the same time as reform of the boards.

  • Osaka Exchange: Removal Of India Nifty50 Futures

    Osaka Exchange, Inc. (OSE) has decided to remove India Nifty50 futures on July 17, 2018. This is because OSE received a notice from India Index Services & Products Limited (IISL), a licensor of Nifty50, that they would terminate a license agreement between IISL and OSE. Please note that OSE will suspend all trades after June. 28, 2018 (the last trading day of the June 2018 contract).
