SEC: Former CEO And CFO Of ITT Barred And Ordered To Pay Penalties

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settlements with two former senior executives of ITT Educational Services Inc., which the SEC charged hid its true financial condition from investors. This resolution successfully concludes the SEC’s case, which was scheduled to begin trial on July 9.

Federal Reserve Board Issues Statement Describing How, Consistent With Recently Enacted EGRRCPA, The Board Will No Longer Subject Primarily Smaller, Less Complex Banking Organizations To Certain Board Regulations

Consistent with the recently enacted Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (EGRRCPA), the Federal Reserve Board on Friday issued a statement describing how the Board will no longer subject primarily smaller, less complex banking organizations to certain Board regulations, including those relating to stress testing and liquidity.

Swiss Index Adjustments On The Occasion Of The Ordinary Index Review

SIX has decided to make changes to the index baskets on the basis of a recommendation from the Index Commission and in compliance with the SMI®, SLI®, SPI® and SXI® index rules. The indices will be adjusted on 21 September 2018 after closing. The adjustment takes effect on 24 September 2018.

- The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first six months of 2018 was $18.3 billion, an increase of 76 per cent when compared with $10.4 billion for the same period last year.
- The average daily turnover of CBBCs for the first six months of 2018 was $7.8 billion, an increase of 86 per cent when compared with $4.2 billion for the same period last year.
- Total funds raised for the first six months of 2018 was $189.8 billion, an increase of 9 per cent when compared with $174.3 billion for the same period last year.
- There were 108* newly listed companies for the first six months of 2018, an increase of 50 per cent when compared with 72* for the same period last year.
