The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today launched a consultation (Note 1) on proposals to amend the Guideline on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing to keep it in line with international anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) standards (Note 2) and make it more useful and relevant.

Building The UK Financial Sector’s Operational Resilience Discussion Paper

Today the Bank of England, Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have published a joint discussion paper (DP) on an approach to improve the operational resilience of firms and financial market infrastructures (FMIs). It envisages that boards and senior management can achieve better standards of operational resilience through increased focus on setting, monitoring and testing specific impact tolerances for key business services, which define the amount of disruption that could be tolerated.

Securities Commission Malaysia Invites Applications For Registration As Equity Crowdfunding And Peer-To-Peer Financing Operators

Greater Flexibility For Bond Investors - Boerse Stuttgart Launches Incremental Trading For Exchange-Based Orders - New Arrangement Gives Bond Investors Greater Flexibility Over Trading Volumes

Premiere at Boerse Stuttgart: For the first time ever, retail investors are no longer restricted to the specified minimum denomination or a multiple thereof when trading bonds. At Boerse Stuttgart, orders can now be adjusted in a series of increments. An increment is the amount by which an investment sum can be increased on the basis of the minimum denomination specified whenever a bond is issued. For example, an investor can now purchase EUR 12,000 of a bond that has been issued with a minimum denomination of EUR 10,000 and an increment of EUR 1,000. Previously, investors could only trade in multiples of the minimum denomination – in this case in EUR 10,000 steps. It is still not possible, however, to trade bonds below the minimum denomination.
