    The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has issued a circular to all financial institutions, directing them to tighten their customer verification processes. This follows the recent cyber attack at SingHealth where personal information of 1.5 million individuals was illegally accessed and stolen.

    The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) Board Members elected Mr. Yu-Jer Sheu as the Chairman of the Board. Prior to joining TAIFEX, Mr. Sheu served as the Minister of the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Taiwan. 

  • EBA Updates On Monitoring Of CET1 Capital Instruments

    The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today a new updated list of Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) instruments of EU institutions. This list is accompanied by an updated CET1 Report, which includes information on the underlying objectives of the monitoring as well as on the consequences of including or excluding instruments in or from the CET1 list.  The EBA's monitoring of capital instruments contributes to the enhancement of the quality of institutions' capital across the EU. The EBA will continue to update the Report on a regular basis to give account of new developments in CET1 issuances and practices.

  • REGIS-TR Appoints Philip Brown As New Chairman Of Board Of Directors

    As of 1 July, REGIS-TR, The European Trade Repository, has appointed new members to its Board of Directors. A member of the Board since the inception of REGIS-TR, Philip Brown has been appointed as the new chairman of the Board, succeeding Jeffrey Tessler. The new Vice-Chairman is Jesús Benito, following Jose Massa.
