FlexTrade (@FlexTrade) today announced that Albar Capital Ltd., a new hedge fund led by Javier Velazquez (formerly of Millennium Capital Partners LLP), is now trading equities and futures using FlexNOW, FlexTrade’s new execution management system.

Six Months After MIFID II Go-Live, TABB Research Examines Systematic Internaliser (SI) Growth

With MIFID II implementation now six months behind us and its impact on European equity market structure eagerly awaited, TABB Group says new execution forms are already gaining a foothold, including ELP SIs. Currently ELP SIs account for a small but growing proportion of equity trading, as much as 2% of order book trading and €1billion on a daily basis as of end of June.

SGX Proposes To Enhance Default Management Capabilities Of Derivatives And Securities Clearing Houses

Singapore Exchange (“SGX”) is seeking public feedback on proposed amendments to the clearing rules of Singapore Exchange Derivatives Clearing Limited (“SGX-DC”) and the Central Depository (Pte) Limited (“CDP”) (the “SGX-DC Clearing Rules” and the “CDP Clearing Rules” respectively) to enhance both clearing houses’ default management capabilities.

Singapore's Securities Industry Council Consults On Amendments To Singapore Code On Take-Overs And Mergers To Clarify Its Application To Companies With A Dual Class Share Structure

The Securities Industry Council (the Council) has proposed amendments to the Singapore Code on Take-overs and Mergers (the Code) to clarify the application of the Code provisions to companies with a dual class share structure (DCS companies) that have a primary listing on the Singapore Exchange.

Strictly Work Out The Entities’ Responsibility For Delisting - Shenzhen Stock Exchange Delists Ene-Carbon Stock

On May 28, 2018, SZSE decided to terminate the listing of the shares of Ingenious Ene-Carbon New Materials Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as “Ene-Carbon Delisting” or “the Company”). The company’s shares entered the delisting transitional period on June 5, 2018. As of the Closing Time on July 17, 2018, the 30-trading-day delisting transitional period for the company’s stocks has been ended. According to SZSE’s Rules Governing Share Listing, on the next trading day right after the delisting transitional period, i.e. July 18, SZSE delists the company’s shares.

Thank you, Chairman Clayton, and I want to begin by expressing my deep gratitude and congratulations to Director Redfearn and his colleagues in the Division in Trading and Markets, especially John Roeser and Tyler Raimo, for all they’ve done to get this important rule over the line. Today we take an important step toward shining light on dark pools, and for the reasons Commissioner Stein has emphasized, that transparency is crucial for the future of equity markets—and long overdue.

Thank you to the staff for your work in putting together both this new rule and the accompanying concept release. The change we are considering today is a discrete one, but could enhance the ability of companies to hire and retain workers. I am pleased that we are going beyond the congressional mandate—which is a good one—to consider more broadly how we might make Rule 701 work better.
