  • Shanghai Stock Exchange Chairman Elected WFE Board Director

    Huang Hongyuan, Chairman of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), was elected Board Director of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) at the 58th WFE General Assembly on October 3. The General Assembly & Annual Meeting was held in Athens, Greece, and nearly 500 representatives from WFE members and the industry attended.

  • Tokyo Commodity Exchange September 2018 Market Summary - September 2018 Daily Volume Averaged 81,476 Contracts, Down 6.2% MoM, Dubai Crude Oil Highest In Almost 4 Years With Daily Average Volume Up 13.4%

    The Tokyo Commodity Exchange reported today that September 2018 average daily volume was 81,476 contracts, down 6.2% from the previous month. Dubai Crude Oil rose 13.4% to 16,311 contracts and Rubber increased 21.3% to 7,274 contracts. Gold, TOCOM’s most active contract, and Platinum fell: Gold Standard was down 6.0% to 31,300 contracts, Gold Rolling Spot was down 31.4% to 6,321 contracts and Platinum Standard was down 16.3% to 10,534 contracts.

  • Shanghai Stock Exchange: 1st Seminar On Capital Markets Of The BRI Participating Countries Held

    The 1st Seminar on Capital Markets of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Participating Countries organized by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) was held in Shenzhen recently. This seminar represents a specific measure of intensifying the exchange and cooperation among the capital markets of countries along the BRI routes and a positive attempt to lay a solid foundation for furthering follow-up multilateral cooperation. More than 20 persons attended and shared their experience in market regulation and ideas on market development, including representatives of securities and futures regulatory institutions from Mongolia, Russia, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Bangladesh and key business staffs of relevant CSRC departments and units. Also present were officials of the CSRC International Affairs Department, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE).
