  • EBRD: Financial Intermediary System Is Responsible For Environmental Sustainability

    Financial and environmental risks interact with each other. Central banks and financial supervisory authorities have an increasing responsibility to develop a sustainable and climate-friendly financial system, as was pointed out at the International Green Finance Conference, which was organised jointly by the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) and the EBRD in Budapest today. The conference was also attended by international financial institutions, central banks, supervisory authorities and market participants from Europe and Asia.

  • ETFGI Reports That Assets Invested ETFs And ETPs Listed In Europe Reached A New Record High Of US$959.96 Billion At The End Of October 2019

    ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs/ETPs ecosystem, reported today that ETFs and ETPs listed in Europe gathered net inflows of US$13.46 billion in October, bringing year-to-date net inflows to US$88.89 billion which is nearly double the US$47.71 billion in net inflows at this point last year . Assets invested in the European ETFs/ETPs industry have increased by 3.8%, from US$924.71 billion at the end of September, to a record US$959.96 billion, according to ETFGI's October 2019 European ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, an annual paid-for research subscription service.   • Sustainability Indices By Moscow Exchange And The Russian Union Of Industrialists And Entrepreneurs Awarded ISAR Honours 2019

    Two sustainability indices calculated by Moscow Exchange and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) – the Responsibility and Transparency Index and the  Sustainability Vector Index – have been awarded ISAR Honours 2019. The ISAR Honours were unveiled at the 36th meeting of the Standing Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting (ISAR) in Geneva, Switzerland.

  • Dalian Commodity Exchange: Vale First Sets Foot In Iron Ore Basis Trading

    Recently, Vale of Brazil Metals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Vale) and Shandong Laigang Yongfeng Trade Co., Ltd. (“Laigang Yongfeng”) sign the basis trading contract with the iron ore futures price of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) as the benchmark. Vale is the first overseas miner carrying out basis trading based on the futures price. Market participants believe that it marks the largest iron ore producer in the world has begun to price by referring to the Chinese iron ore futures price, which has significant implications for the global iron ore market in terms of promoting basis trading, optimizing pricing model and enhance the influence of China prices.
