Dalian Commodity Exchange: MOU On Co-Testing of Securities Industry Core Business Software System Inked

On November 1, the Securities Association of China (SAC), Dalian Futures IT Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Dalian Commodity Exchange), and three software developers: Hundsun Technologies Inc., Shenzhen Kingdom Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. and Fujian Apex Software Co., Ltd. sign the “Memorandum of Understanding on Co-Testing of Securities Industry Core Business Software System”. This MOU specifies using the Industry Testing Center of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) to make co-testing on the securities industry’s core business software system.

Basel Committee Consults On Guidelines On Cooperation Between Prudential And AML/CFT Supervision

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has published a consultative document entitled Introduction of guidelines on interaction and cooperation between prudential and AML/CFT supervision. The Basel Committee proposes to amend its guidelines on the Sound management of risks related to money laundering and financing of terrorism published in June 2017, by providing detailed and practical guidelines on the interaction and cooperation between prudential and anti-money laundering and combatting the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) supervision. These proposed guidelines are intended to enhance the effectiveness of supervision of banks' money laundering and financing of terrorism (FT) risk management, consistent with and complementary to the goals and objectives of the standards issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and principles and guidelines published by the Basel Committee.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index at the end of October fell 2.2 percent from the previous month but increased 2.4 percent from end-2018 to 1,601.49 points. The average daily trading value of SET and Market for Alternative Investment (mai) in October dropped 4.6 percent from a year earlier to THB 52.06 billion (approx. USD 1.7 billion). Foreign investors cashed out a net THB 7.91 billion from Thai shares in October, in tandem with most Asian peers.
