Nymex To Raise Propane Futures Margins

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will increase the margins at the close of business tomorrow on its propane futures contract to $2,500 from $1,900 for clearing members; to $2,750 from $2,090 for members; and to $3,375 from $2,565 for customers.

NYSE Ready for "Decimal Monday," Jan. 29, 2001

On "Decimal Monday", January 29, 2001, the NYSE will complete the conversion to decimal pricing on its more than 3,500 listed securities. The Exchange has been decimal ready since April 2000 and began phasing in the move to decimals – pricing stocks in dollars and cents instead of in fractions – last August via a pilot program. As of today, 159 NYSE-listed issues trade in decimals.
