  • Eurex Trades 31 Million Contracts In April Over 152 million Contracts Traded During The First Four Months - New Record In Options On Nokia

    Eurex, the European derivatives market, achieved a volume of 30.5??? million contracts traded in April, topping the April 1999 volume by 17 percent. Eurex has already traded more than 152 million contracts during the first four months of the current year.

  • CME Trading Volume Rises Nearly 26 Percent in April

    Overall trading volume on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) for April rose nearly 26 percent over last year with 19,427,407 contracts traded. Volume in equity and index futures rose 41.7 percent over last year, while volume in interest rate futures increased 38.6 percent from year-ago levels.

  • CBOE On Track For Record Breaking Fiscal Year

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that total volume at the Exchange during the month of April reached 28,413,006 contracts (17,968,314 calls and 10,444,692 puts), a 32% increase over year-ago levels, maintaining the pace for another record setting fiscal year. Average daily volume for all options at CBOE was 1,495,421 contracts. A single day trading record was set this month when 2,388,759 contracts changed hands on April 14th amidst heavy trading in the NASDAQ 100 Index

  • A Very Good Month For EURO.NM Amsterdam

    April proved to be yet another good month on Amsterdam Exchanges' markets. Turnover on the stock exchange saw a marked increase of 53.8% in comparison to April 1999. In the case of EURO.NM Amsterdam, the increase was more than 200%. Value of turnover in this market segment, which amounted to Euro 1.35 billion, was four times higher during the first four months of 2000 than during the same period last year.
