CBOE Sets New Year-To-Date Record

Total trading volume at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, hit a new year-to-date record for the end of November with 301,757,649 contracts (194,397,120 calls and 107,360,529 puts) trading, which is 33% ahead of the previous November year-to-date record of 226,477,440 contracts, set in 1999.

TSE Regulation Services is introducing minimum standards for the supervision of trading in Exchange listed securities. The TSE Board of Directors approved the standards last week. Nymex To Increase Natural Gas Margins

The New York Mercantile Exchange will raise the margins on its Henry Hub natural gas contract at the close of business tomorrow to $10,00 from $7,500 for clearing members; to $11,000 from $8,250 for members; and to $13,500 from $10,125 for customers.

November trading volume on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) grew 25.6 percent over year-ago levels to nearly 18 million contracts. Year-to-date volume on CME stands at 208.4 million, already making 2000 the second highest volume year in CME history.
