Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P Canadian Indices: S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index: After the close of business on Monday, June 3, 2002, Quadtel Limited (TSX:QTL) will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange at the request of the company. The company will continue to trade on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. To Join The Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning June 3, 2002

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq:DLTR), of Chesapeake, Virginia, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index® (Nasdaq:NDX), effective at the beginning of trading Monday, June 3, 2002. Dollar Tree will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. will replace Adelphia Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:ADLAE).

Cross Border Settlement Through Direct Link Between HEX And VPC

As of Monday, 3rd of June 2002, cross border settlement of both Finnish and foreign equities will be possible via a direct link between HEX and the Swedish central securities depository, VPC. The link ensures barrier-free cross-border portfolio management by streamlining the transaction chain. Similar links already exist between HEX and the German, French and Dutch central securities depositories.
