A Smooth Transition At The Helm Of The Montreal Exchange
The Montreal Exchange is planning a smooth transition at its helm. Following a proposal by Mr. Gérald A. Lacoste, President and CEO of the Montreal Exchange, the Governing Committee has formed a search committee to recommend a successor to Mr. Lacoste. Mr. Lacoste will remain President and CEO of the Montreal Exchange until his successor takes office, and will continue to act as a special advisor to the Exchange until the end of next year.

NASD And SEHK Signs Information Sharing Agreement To Allow Hong Kong Listings For Nasdaq Securities
The National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD®)¾parent organization of The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK) today signed regulatory agreements to transfer mutually useful and necessary regulatory information as part of a pilot program to provide for listings on the Exchange by companies listed on Nasdaq.

Listing And Trading Of Non-Resident Companies' Shares In Singapore Dollars
On 26 November 1999, the Singapore Exchange announced that arrangements have been made to facilitate the conversion of foreign currency-denominated shares, whether listed on a primary or secondary basis, to S$. Companies that wish to avail themselves of such conversion should inform the Exchange by 12.00 noon on Friday, 10 December 1999.

E-Mini Nasdaq 100 Open Interest Soars Past 10,000 As Volume In Larger Contract Reaches New High - GSCI, EuroFX, EuroFX-British Pound Cross Rate Also Set Open Interest Records
Open interest in E-mini Nasdaq 100 Index® futures rose for the first time past the 10,000 level on Friday, reaching 10,408 at the close of trading. Also on Friday, single-day volume in the standard-size Nasdaq 100 futures set a new record of 26,056 contracts. New HKFE Educational Article Shows Hang Seng Index Is Not More Volatile During The Expiration Day Of HSI Futures
The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) published an educational article yesterday that shows there's little difference in the price volatility of Hong Kong's benchmark stock market index - the Hang Seng Index (HSI) - between the expiration days and non-expiration days of HSI Futures. The article was written by Dr. Louis T.W. Cheng, Associate Professor of Finance in the Department of Business Studies at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Kevin Cheng, the HKFE's Head of Economic Research.

Ljubljana Stock Exchange November Monthly Report
The total turnover of securities on the Exchange amounted to SIT21.4 billion in November after the amount of SIT 27.7 billion in October - the highest monthly turnover this year). The total turnover in November 1998 was SIT 20.2 billion. The total turnover on the Exchange in the first eleven months of this year amounted to SIT 221.4 billion and was 61% higher than the figure of the same period in the previous year, which was SIT 137.5 billion.
