BrokerTec Global Selects OM As Technology Provider
BrokerTec Global LLC and OM Technology today announced a preliminary agreement under which OM will supply BrokerTec's electronic inter-dealer trading platforms for U.S. Treasuries and Euro-denominated sovereign debt, due to be launched next year. The global inter-dealer brokerage service will enable European dealers to trade U.S. products, and vice versa, through BrokerTec's European and U.S. subsidiaries using the same technology platform. TSE Demutualization Plan Receives Government Approval
The Toronto Stock Exchange moved a step closer to becoming a for-profit entity, today. The proposal that would allow the Exchange to demutualize passed third reading by the Ontario Legislature, as part of its Budget Bill, and has now received Royal Assent from the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

NYMEX To Establish COMEX Division Posting Deadline For EFPs

NYBOT President James J. Bowe Departs Exchange
The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) yesterday announced the resignation of NYBOT President & CEO James J. Bowe effective December 31, 1999. Merc Board Re-elects Gordon Chairman, Chooses Other Officers

Meeting Of The Oslo Stock Exchange Board - Transfers From The SMB List To The Main List And Transfers From The Main List To The SMB List.
If the market value of the shares of a company which is listed on the SMB List has exceeded NOK 300 million for at least one year and the other conditions for listing on the Main List are satisfied, the Stock Exchange Regulations provide at ยง 2-2 first paragraph for the Stock Exchange Board to decide that the company's shares shall be placed on the Main List.

JSE Records All Time High For Number of Deals Traded
Today the JSE recorded the highest number of deals traded on any one day in its 111 year history. Deals amounting to 32,507 surpassed the previous record of 30,398 recorded on March 18, 1999.
