Exchange Changes Expiration Date For March 2000 FTSE Eurotop 300® Contract
The New York Mercantile Exchange board last night approved moving the expiration of the March 2000 Eurotop 300® contract to Thursday, March 16, from Friday, March 17, in recognition of the closure of the Irish Stock Exchange on March 17.

CBOT Fed Funds Contract Sets New Volume Record, Year To-Date Volume Up 36% From Last Year
The Chicago Board of Trade announced today that CBOT members set a new daily volume record in the 30-day Federal Funds futures contract yesterday, trading 18,887 contracts. The record was set on the same day as the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting, at which the target Federal Funds interest rate is determined for the cash market.

The New York Stock Exchange today released its weekly program-trading data submitted by its member firms. The report includes trading in all markets as reported to the NYSE for Jan. 18-21. This included program trading associated with the Jan. 21 monthly expiration of stock-index options and futures.

Overseas Institutional Investors Contribute 30 Per Cent Of Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong Turnover
The Stock Exchange's latest Members Transaction Survey shows that the contribution of local individual trading increased slightly from 41 per cent in 1998 to 45 per cent in 1999 and remained the largest component of total market turnover.

Oslo Stock Exchange Monthly Report: January Trading Record

LIFFE's Euribor Futures And Options Set New Records In January 2000
The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) traded an average daily nominal value of £219 billion (343 billion) in January 2000, up 117% on December 1999 and up 11% on the average daily nominal value for 1999 as a whole. This means LIFFE maintained its position as Europe's largest exchange by value.
