The Securities and Exchange Commission today designated Charles D. Niemeier to be the Acting Chairman of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. The Board, established by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, oversees the audits of the financial statements of public companies through registration, standard setting, inspection and disciplinary programs. SEC Proposes Listing Standards Rule, Adopts Investment Company Exemptive Provisions

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to publish for comment a rule proposal that would direct national securities markets to prohibit the listing of any security of an issuer not complying with audit committee requirements set out in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. It also took action to adopt provisions to exempt transactions between investment companies and affiliated persons.

BrokerTec Futures Exchange - Five-Year U.S. Treasury Note Contract Specification - Minimum Tick Size Change

The Board of Directors at its December meeting approved a decrease in the minimum tick size on the five-year Treasury note contract from ½ of 1/32nd of a point (or $15.625 rounded up to the nearest 1 cent per contract) to ¼ of 1/32nd of a point (or $7.813 rounded to the nearest 1 cent per contract).
