  • CME Foreign Exchange Futures Sets New Electronic Trading Volume Record as More Than $27 Billion In Contracts Trade - Milk Options Also Reach New Volume High

    Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), the largest U.S. futures exchange and the largest regulated foreign exchange marketplace, announced that on Friday, September 10 the exchange set a new trading volume record of 217,683 contracts in its electronic foreign exchange (eFX) market. Friday’s volume was up 4% from the previous eFX volume record of 209,378 set on June 9, 2004. The notional – or face – value of the contracts traded on Friday was $27 billion.
