The London Metal Exchange (LME) has today released the listing criteria for plastics producers and warehouse companies. Producers are invited to apply to register their brands as tradable types within the plastics contracts and warehouse companies are being given the opportunity to apply for the storage of LME plastics.

Further Growth At Clearstream For August 2004

Clearstream announced that in August 2004 the core business figures showed extended growth levels across the custody and settlement division of the Deutsche Börse Group. The value of assets held in custody on behalf of customers rose to approximately EUR 7.4 trillion, a rise of 1.0 percent from the same month last year. The breakdown of this growth shows advances of 9.2 percent for international assets and declines of 4.5 percent for domestic assets.

CBOE Futures Exchange Introduces China Index - Labranche Structured Products Named Designated Primary Market Maker

The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that the exchange will list futures contracts on the newly created CBOE China Index (CBOE ticker symbol CX) beginning on October 18, 2004, pending regulatory approval. CFE, which launched on March 26, 2004, is a new, all-electronic, futures exchange.
