Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), the largest U.S.futures exchange, and Tullett Liberty Inc., one of the world's leading wholesale financial brokers, today announced the introduction of an innovative electronic trade-matching capability. It offers the first seamless, integrated trading and clearing of exchange-listed products with forward rate agreements (FRAs) in over-the-counter (OTC) interest rate markets. The system is scheduled to launch on June 30, 2004.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange Sign SPAN® Licensing Agreement

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) and the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) today announced that the two exchanges have signed a licensing agreement allowing SHFE to adopt the Standard Portfolio Analysis of Risk (SPAN) system. Initially, SHFE will use it for internal research purposes. SHFE will formally introduce the system after a trial period under the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Financial services regulators from Australia, Canada (Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec), China, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States met on March 17, 2004, at the International Regulators Meeting, hosted annually by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

SWX Swiss Exchange Extends German Pfandbriefe Settlementto Clearstream, Euroclear And SIS

SWX Swiss Exchange, together with Clearstream, Euroclear and SIS, announced today that starting 13 April 2004 exchange participants will have a wide range of choice for the settlement of German Pfandbriefe and Jumbo-Pfandbriefe transactions executed on the exchange. Participants may choose to settle these transactions with counterparties having accounts at Clearstream, Euroclear Bank or SIS SegaInterSettle, as they currently choose for Eurobond transactions.
